Your business
Facebook lead ads
Leads from your Facebook and Instagram lead forms come straight into your contacts, tagged, with every answer in a note, and start your follow-up workflows within seconds.
Connecting Facebook
- 1Log in with Facebook and allow the app to read your pages' leads.
- 2Connect each page whose leads should come in; one account per page.
- 3Each form question goes into a contact field or one of yours; the rest stay in the note.
- 4Every lead becomes a contact, tagged, with every answer in a note.
- Open Settings → Integrations and click Connect Facebook under Facebook lead ads.
- Log in with the Facebook account that manages your business page, tick the page (and its Instagram account), and allow the app to read its leads.
- Back in the app, your pages are listed. Click Connect page on each one whose leads should come in.
Only the account's owner and admins connect Facebook. We keep Facebook's access to your pages encrypted and never show it. A page is connected to one account at a time.
Where the answers go
Open a connected page's Forms. Each lead form lists its questions:
- Facebook's own questions (full name, email, phone, company, address, city, postal code…) go into the matching contact fields by themselves.
- Your own questions ("What is your budget?") go into the note only, until you pick one of your custom fields for them.
- Every lead is tagged Facebook lead (change it per page), gets the source Facebook lead ad: <form>, and a note with every answer, the form and the ad.
A lead is found by email (or phone) like a website form, so someone who's already a contact isn't added twice. Each lead comes in once, even when Facebook sends it again.
Made a new form in Meta's Ads Manager? Click Refresh forms.
Follow up automatically
In Automations, pick the trigger A Facebook lead form is submitted, for any page, one page, or one form, and add your steps: a text within a minute, an email, a task for whoever follows up, a Google Sheets row. Answers are in the note and in your mapped fields.
Other tools can hear about each lead too: subscribe to the A Facebook lead comes in webhook.
Your ad results
Open Ads in the menu. With Facebook connected, your ad accounts come in by themselves, and for the dates you pick you see:
- Spent, Leads (as Facebook counts them), Cost per lead, Clicks, and Leads in your CRM (the ones that actually arrived from your lead forms);
- spend per day, and each campaign with its impressions, clicks, CTR, leads and cost per lead.
The numbers update every few hours; Refresh doesn't wait.
Making and running ads
Under Your ads on the Ads page, click New ad:
- Goal: leads with one of your Facebook lead forms (they land in your CRM as above), or visits to your website.
- Who sees it: countries, ages, and interests (search Meta's list: yoga, small business…), or a saved audience (Save this audience keeps one to reuse). Daily budget and an optional end date.
- The ad: its text, headline, button, link and picture (upload a JPG or PNG, up to 2.5 MB, or give its https address), and optionally a video from its https address (the picture becomes its thumbnail). Ask your assistant to write the text in your voice.
- Make it (paused): it's made at Facebook, paused, so nothing is spent yet.
Launch turns it on (Meta reviews every ad first; its review shows next to it), Pause stops it, Budget changes the daily budget, and the bin deletes it here and at Facebook. If Facebook refuses an ad, it says why. The money is yours, on your own Facebook ad account: we never charge for ads. Only the account's owner and admins make and launch ads.
If something's off
- A lead didn't come in: leads that arrive while Facebook is briefly down are fetched again (after 1 minute, 5, 30…). Leads that came while a page was disconnected are fetched when you connect it again.
- "Facebook ended this connection": changing your Facebook password or removing the app ends our access. Click Reconnect.
- Disconnect stops new leads; contacts already here stay.
By chatting
Ask "Make me a lead ad for my free consultation, $15 a day in the US" (it's made paused, and launched only when you say so), "How are my Facebook ads doing this month?", "Is my Facebook connected?" or "When a Facebook lead comes in, text them within a minute and make a task for me". The assistant can see your pages and forms and build the workflow; connecting Facebook itself is always you, in Settings.
