Payments

Get paid through your own Stripe account: payment links and Buy buttons on your websites, invoices to your contacts, and every payment on the contact. The money goes straight to you; we never touch it or see card details.

Connecting Stripe

Connecting Stripe
  1. 1Give it exactly these permissions.
  2. 2Paste the key (rk_live_… or rk_test_…). It's kept encrypted.
  3. 3Connect: we check the key and set up the webhook in your Stripe.

You need a Stripe account (free to open at stripe.com). Then, in Settings → Payments:

  1. In Stripe, open Developers → API keys and click Create restricted key.
  2. Name it "PowerPro AI" and give it exactly these permissions (everything else stays None): Products, Prices, Payment Links, Customers, Invoices and Webhook Endpoints: Write; Checkout Sessions and Charges and Refunds: Read.
  3. Create it, copy the key (it starts with rk_live_) and paste it. Click Connect Stripe.

We check the key, then set up a webhook in your Stripe account so each payment is reported back here within seconds. The key is kept encrypted and never shown again; only its last four characters are.

Settings → Payments
  1. 1Live (real payments) or test mode, from the key you used.
  2. 2Paste a new key (a live one, say).
  3. 3Disconnect: what was paid stays here.

What you've been paid

Payments
  1. 1Send an invoice to a contact.
  2. 2Shown while you use a test key: no real money moves.
  3. 3Payments received, invoices, and products with their payment links.
  4. 4Who paid, what for, how (payment link, invoice, subscription) and when. It's on their contact too.

Payments in the side menu shows this month's takings (after refunds), what's still waiting on invoices, and every payment: who paid, what for, how (a payment link, an invoice or a subscription renewing) and when. Refunds you make in Stripe show here too, in full or in part.

Each payment also lands on the buyer's contact: found by email, or made new and tagged Customer, with a note ("Paid $499 for Calm Manager Program") and a Payments card on their page.

Products and payment links
  1. 1New product (made in your Stripe too), or bring your HighLevel products over in one click.
  2. 2Stripe's checkout for this price: share it, or put a Buy button on your website.
  3. 3Copy the link.
  4. 4Add a price: once, or every week, month or year.
  1. On the Products and links tab, click New product: a name, what it is (shown at checkout) and a price, paid once or every week, month or year. It's made in your Stripe too.
  2. Or click Bring my HighLevel products to make the products you had in HighLevel, with their prices, in one go.
  3. Click Get a payment link beside a price. That's Stripe's own checkout page for it: share it anywhere, or put it on your website.

Stripe prices can't change, so a new amount is a new price: add it, then archive the old one (its payment link stops taking payments).

Buy buttons on your website

Ask the website assistant, for example "Add a Buy button for the Calm Manager Program to the pricing section" or "Make a pricing table with my Stripe products". It uses your payment links, so buyers pay on Stripe's checkout and the payment lands here. Publish to put it live.

Invoices

A new invoice
  1. 1The contact it's for: they need an email address.
  2. 2What it's for, how many, and the price of one.
  3. 3Or add one of your products with its price.
  4. 4Send: Stripe emails it with a page to pay on and a PDF.
  5. 5Or send it from your own email, into their conversation.
  1. Click New invoice on the Payments page, or Send an invoice on a contact's page. The contact needs an email address.
  2. Add its lines (what it's for, how many, the price of one), or pick one of your products. Add a note and when it's due.
  3. Send: Stripe emails it, with a page to pay by card and a PDF. Or Send from my email instead: it goes from your own email set-up into their conversation, with the same link to pay.

Until you send it, it's a draft you can change or delete; nothing is in Stripe yet.

An invoice
  1. 1Stripe's invoice number, and when it was sent.
  2. 2The lines, quantities and amounts.
  3. 3The page your client pays on, by card. Also a PDF.
  4. 4Void it if it won't be paid: its link stops working.

A sent invoice shows its Stripe number, when it's due, and the page they pay on. When they pay, it's marked Paid and the payment is on their contact. If a payment attempt fails, it says so. Void an invoice that won't be paid: its link stops working.

Automations

A workflow can start when a payment is received: send a welcome email, add a tag, move their opportunity to Won, tell you. Its messages can use {{payment.amount}} and {{payment.description}}. See Automations.
