CRM

Forms

Forms on your websites, with every answer landing in your CRM: the contact is created or updated, tagged, and the answers are noted on it. No HighLevel form needed.

What happens when someone sends a form

Good to know

Every new website already has your Contact form (name, email, phone and a message) in its contact section. You'll find it on the Forms page.

Your forms

Forms
  1. 1New form: make one here, or ask the assistant to add one to your website.
  2. 2Each form, the website it's for and how many answers it has had.
  3. 3The latest answers to all your forms, with the contact each one made or updated.

CRM → Forms lists your forms, the website each was made for, how many answers each has had, and the latest answers to all of them.

Making or changing a form

A form's questions
  1. 1What the visitor sees.
  2. 2Short or long answer, email, phone, a list to choose from, a tick box or a date.
  3. 3Where the answer goes on the contact: name, email, phone… or one of your own fields.
  4. 4Tags every answer adds to the contact.
  5. 5What visitors see after sending (or a page to send them to).
  1. Click New form, or open one.
  2. For each question, choose the kind of answer: short or long answer, email, phone, a list to choose from, a tick box or a date. Mark the ones visitors must answer as Required.
  3. Choose where each answer is saved on the contact: their name, email, phone, company, address… or one of your own contact fields (add those in Contacts → Fields). Leave it on Only on the answer for things like a message.
  4. Add the tags every answer gets, what visitors see after sending (or a page to send them to, like /thank-you), and whether you get an email.
  5. Save. Websites using the form send to the new version straight away.

Switch Taking answers off to pause a form; visitors are told it no longer takes answers.

Putting a form on a website

The easiest way: ask the assistant, in the builder or the chat bubble's My website tab, for example "Add a free guide sign-up form with first name, email and role to the home page". It makes the form, places it, and styles it like the rest of your website. Publish to put it live.

A form's Add to a website tab gives you the request to copy, or the form's code for a website built here.

Forms work in the website's preview too, so you can try one while you build; those answers are marked Test and left out of the counts.

The answers

A form's answers
  1. 1Every answer to this form, newest first.
  2. 2The contact it created or updated. The answers are also a note on it.
  3. 3Download them all for a spreadsheet.
  4. 4Put it on a website: ask the assistant, or copy the code.

A form's Answers tab lists every answer, newest first, with the contact it created or updated. Download as CSV gives you all of them for a spreadsheet.

Forms quietly turn away bots (a hidden field only bots fill in, and answers sent faster than a person could type), and limit how many answers one visitor can send in an hour. You don't need a captcha.
